MCU Public Service Corps Recruiting MCU Public Service Corps always keeps up its positive public image. Currently, the MCU Public Service Corps is now recruiting for new blood and asks interested applicants with enthusiasm and charisma to join the team. This year, application is open to international students. Male applicants must be 180-190 cm tall and female applicants must be 163-172 cm tall. All applicants must be willing to undergo a professional and strict training program. Please apply in person at the Physical Education Office on Taipei campus (see Prof. He) or at the Taoyuan Student Affairs Division (see Ms. Kuo) by 10/15 (Monday) at noon. The Public Service Corps will be holding open auditions on 10/16 (Tuesday) at noon in the Sun Yat Sen Auditorium on Taipei campus and on 10/19 (Friday) at noon in AA701 on Taoyuan campus. MCU Taipei Freshmen Concert This Week The annual MCU Freshmen Concert on Taipei campus will be held this Wednesday on 10/17 in the Sun Yat Sen Auditorium. Taipei campus students who have paid the Student Government Association fee should seize the final opportunity to pick up their admission tickets this Monday and Tuesday from 9 am to 4:30pm at the booths in front of B201 and the Library. Admission begins at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and other fun activities will be held in the Outdoor Basketball Court. Towards the end of the concert, there will be a prize draw for a brand new Ipad. So, don’t miss out this great evening of fun, excitement and music! Fun Cultural Trip to Yingge The Office of International Student Service (OISS) is planning a trip in November for international students (on 11/10 for students on Taoyuan Campus and on 11/24 for students on Taipei Campus). The trip includes visits to the Yingge Ceramics Museum and Yingge Old Ceramics Street. The day-long tour provides students an opportunity not only to see, but also to experience, ceramics making and design their own stylish mugs. Please sign up at the OISS on either campus with your ARC or passport. Don’t forget that sign up time for Taoyuan campus is 10/15-11/02, and for Taipei campus is 10/29-11/16. A deposit of NT$500 will be collected; please note that the deposit will not be refunded if you do not join the trip. First come, first served!
