■Midterm Exams Results Now Available The grades and results of the midterm examinations are now available. Students who have failed half or one third of their total coursework credits may apply for reduction of coursework online. Please note that the online application ends on Friday (11/25) by 4 p.m. Student should log in to their Student Network Information System accounts and apply for the reduction of coursework under the link “Coursework Information”. ■Student Scholarship and Assistantship Awarded The list of MCU scholarship and assistantship recipients for the academic year of 2011-2012 is now available and posted on the Student Affairs Division’s bulletin boards on both campuses. Applicants may head over and check whether they have been awarded. According to the data provided by the Scholarship and Assistantship Committee, 1,052 students are awarded with the amount totaling NT$8,500,000 this year. This shows an increase in both the number of students and the amount of money awarded. ■MCU Awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs The 2011 Exhibition of Industry-Academia Cooperation, Entrepreneurship Incubation and Innovation Research hosted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs took place on 11/18 in Taichung. This year, MCU showed outstanding performance in the area of academia industry innovation where it was awarded with two awards: the Emerging Service Industry Incubation Character Award and first place in the Annual Popularity Award.
