【791】MCU to host career workshops!

Looking for some tips on career planning? Then you need not go far. MCU Career Counseling and Placement Section will host a Career Workshop for Taipei and Taoyuan students on Saturday, April 23 from 9:30am to 6pm on Taipei Campus in Room E402. This workshop is geared towards helping students understand and have the right knowledge and attitude to successfully enter the working environment, as well as to learn techniques involved in finding the right job. A specially invited guest from a local magazine will share with students effective tips on communicating with people in the workplace and help them to understand how important it is to choose their future career. There is a limit of 80 students, priority will be given to those soon to graduate. All are asked to prepare two CVs/resumes as well as an autobiography. Students will also practice interview techniques in groups and will receive a certificate of attendance. Attendees are strongly asked to wear business attire on workshop day. In other career-related news, the Sinyi Real Estate firm will be the host of yet another workshop which focuses on how to choose your future work and how to become a good salesperson. This workshop is slated for April 22 from noon to 2pm on Taipei campus (B402); students from all campuses are welcome to register for one of the 120 spaces available. MCU alumni have been invited to come and share their experiences with attendees at this workshop, so that students can gain a better understanding of the sales sector. Students are strongly advised to take the CPAS test (i.e. a personality test) before the workshop. A deposit of NT$100 (for lunch) is required upon registration. Students whose native language is not Chinese but have good Chinese listening-speaking ability are welcomed to take part in the activities.
