■MCU Announces MSCHE Accreditation Last Thursday (12/2), MCU hosted a press conference to publically announce the good news of being MSCHE accreditation. During the press conference, about 20 news reporters from the press attended to report the event. In addition, Cho-Fei Ho, the Chairman of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Victor W. Liu, the Chairman of Board of the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan, Wen-Tung Lin, the Director of Bureau of International Cultural and Educational Relations, and Sheila Paskman, Public Affairs Section Chief of American Institute in Taiwan also attended the event. According to President Lee, Ming Chuan’s accreditation signifies that the quality of higher education in Taiwan is once again affirmed by the world. ■Invoice Donation Box Design Contest The Service Learning Section is hosting a design contest for invoice donation collection box. Those who are interested must turn in their designs in “.jpg” format to the Service Learning Section by this Wednesday (12/8). Please note that the work submitted should be 30x30cm in size and clarity of 300dpi in resolution. The top three invoice boxes would be the ones that have collected the most number of invoices during the period of two weeks starting this Friday (12/10). ■MCU Freshman Cup: Singing Contest The preliminaries for the MCU Freshman Singing Contest begins this Saturday (12/11) at the Sun Yat Sen Auditorium on Taipei campus and on the first floor of the Physical Education Building on Taoyuan campus. The final round of the contest will be held on 12/18.
