by Deena Ahmadi During this summer break, the Taipei dormitories will be under renovation. The sixth and seventh floors that currently sleep two people per room will be changed into four people per room. This gives more Ming Chuan University students an opportunity to apply to live in the Taipei campus dorms. To be fair in the housing situation, students who have finished their volunteer services have the right to choose which bed they want for next semester. During renovations, the dorms, especially the sixth and seventh floors, may be noisy due to the construction worker. Students who plan to live on these floors next semester will need to move their belongings to other floors in the dorm for the time being. The spaces are designated by the dorm supervisor as rooms 401, 407, 411, 413, 418, 503, 504, 506, 514, and 515. Those who will be returning to the sixth and seventh floors next semester are to please clean their rooms before leaving the dorms for the summer, prior to June 26. Belongings to be stored for the summer should be taken to the assigned room between 3:00 – 5:00pm on the 26th. If students fail to transfer belongings, there is a risk they may easily be lost. Upon returning to campus on September 11-12, residents will retrieve their stored belongings and move them into the renovated rooms.
