Next, visit the Course Information Inquiry. Click “Elective Course” to browse courses offered by your department and year of study, or select “General Education Course” to view courses available on your campus. 【MCUWeekly】The countdown to the new semester has begun! Ming Chuan University’s 2026–27 AY 1st semester will begin on September 7. Course selection for first-year students and online adding and dropping courses for continuing students will soon get underway. Registration through the Cloud Course Selection Agent System will open first at 12:30 PM on August 31. Students may register online in advance for courses they wish to add and must finalize their preferences by 5:00 PM on the day before Official Course Selection (Adding and Dropping Courses) opens for their year of study. Courses will then be allocated according to each student’s order of preference.
MCU’s course selection process consists of two stages: Cloud Course Selection Agent System registration and Official Course Selection (Adding and Dropping Courses). During the first stage, students may register in advance for courses they wish to add that semester and rank them according to their preferences. The system will allocate places based on the submitted rankings. As each course has a maximum enrollment capacity, registration does not guarantee successful enrollment in every requested course. Students who do not obtain their preferred courses through the Cloud Course Selection Agent System may use the second stage, Official Course Selection (Adding and Dropping Courses), to add or drop courses online during the designated period for their year of study. At this stage, enrollment is processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
To use the Cloud Course Selection Agent System, log in to the Student Information System, then select “Course selection/ Cloud-based proxy course registration.” Enter the Course Code and Class Code for each course you wish to take, arrange the courses in your preferred order, and submit and save your selections. The system will open at 12:30 PM on August 31 and close at 5:00 PM on the day before Official Course Selection (Adding and Dropping Courses) begins for each year of study. Allocation results will be posted on students’ individual class schedules at 10:00 AM on the day Official Course Selection opens for their year. Students should review the results before deciding whether to enter the Class Selection System to adjust their courses.
Official Course Selection (Adding and Dropping Courses) will begin at 12:30 PM on September 7, the first day of classes. Access will open in stages by year of study, beginning with first-year students. During the course selection period, students may not drop Required Courses, including Required Elective Courses, assigned to their original class. Students may select only one class section for the same course. If a class has reached full capacity, the system will automatically activate the Computerized Quota Assurance System. When a place becomes available after another student drops the course, students will be enrolled according to their position in the queue. Students will not be enrolled from the waiting list if the course conflicts with another class or causes them to exceed the credit limit. The Computerized Quota Assurance System will also cease operation once the adding and dropping courses period ends.
During the adding and dropping courses period, students may enroll in courses offered by other departments, online courses in Accounting and Economics, and courses taken with regular classes for first-time study or course repetition. Under course selection regulations, the maximum course load for regular students is 25 credits per semester. Adding and dropping courses for all students will close at 12:30 PM on September 14. Final course selection results will be available from 12:30 PM on September 17. Students must log in to review and confirm their individual class schedules.
Academic Affairs reminds students who have not yet paid their tuition and miscellaneous fees that they will be unable to log in to the Class Selection System during the Official Course Selection period at the beginning of the semester. Students should complete payment as soon as possible using their payment notice through one of the designated payment channels to avoid affecting their course selection rights.
