MCU College of Management Launches 2026 Entrepreneurship Competition
【MCU News】To encourage students to develop innovative thinking and entrepreneurial practice, Ming Chuan University’s College of Management will host the 2026 College of Management Entrepreneurship Competition, inviting students from all departments to form interdisciplinary teams and transform creative ideas into entrepreneurial proposals with market potential. The competition has been expanded this year into three themed tracks, providing more opportunities for students to showcase their ideas, with the top prize reaching NT$20,000.
The competition is open to all MCU students regardless of major or year level. Participants must form teams of three to six members and be guided by a faculty advisor. The competition focuses on three major themes: AI Entrepreneurship, Service-Oriented Entrepreneurship, and Product Development Entrepreneurship. Proposed projects may also address areas such as smart technology, sustainability, cultural and creative industries, and social enterprises, while encouraging participants to integrate concepts from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dean Weng Chen-Yi of the College of Management noted that the competition is one of the college’s key annual events, designed to provide students with a platform to integrate what they have learned in class and apply their creativity in practice. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, team discussions, and the development of business proposals, students can transform innovative ideas into feasible business models and strengthen their ability to solve real-world problems.
Students interested in participating are reminded that the competition requires online registration and submission via the registration website. The registration deadline is May 8 at 23:59, and the final round will be held on June 5 at J616, Jihe Campus.
