Midterm Examinations Next Week! Please Wear a Face Mask for All Exams!

Midterm Examinations will be held from November 8 to 12; please wear a face mask for all examinations.

Reminder to all 1st-year students, each student’s midterm examination schedule has been posted under Exam Schedule and Location Query in the Student Information System. Please check online and print it out or add to your calendar so that you do not go to the wrong venue and affect your personal rights to take the examinations. The time-conflict and cross-campus schedules and locations will be announced under Exam Schedule and Location Query in the Student Information System four days prior to the examinations as well. Please prepare well and do your best on the examinations.

Under the famous MCU plum-blossom examination seating arrangement, there are multiple courses taking exams in one exam venue; students must remember their own course code and class code. Please confirm them and fill in on the examination papers. Language listening comprehension tests will be implemented using computer cards; please use 2B pencils to mark the computer cards with the version number, Student ID number and class code.

Please make sure to bring your student ID and stationery items for all examinations. Students who are more than 15 minutes late for an examination are not allowed to take the exam. If you have lost your student ID or forget to bring it with you, please go to the authorized document machine at Examination Center on Taipei Campus or Administration Offices on Taoyuan Campus to register for a temporary ID card. So, it is recommended that students get an early start.

Student Affairs Division would like to remind students that they are not allowed to apply for personal leave during the midterm examination period. Students who need to apply for sick leave with a certificate of diagnosis for the date of missing an examination, or other types of leaves, must submit related documents for a special case leave on an examination day and complete the leave procedure within two days (including the examination day) of missing an exam online. Please submit all the related documents to Student Advising Section on Taipei Campus or Taoyuan Student Affairs Section.

If students are unable to attend the examinations due to home quarantine, self-health management or other special condition of epidemic prevention, please complete the leave procedure within 7 days after the end of home quarantine or self-health management with faculty member’s approval for taking leave from a midterm exam and submit all the related documents to Student Advising Section on Taipei Campus or Taoyuan Student Affairs Section. Students are to avoid registering for a vaccination appointment before or during the midterm examination period, so that your exam rights will not be affected by any discomfort or symptoms resulting from the vaccine.

Furthermore, please turn off your cell phone before taking examinations, as any ringing sound (including vibration mode and alarm) will be considered as a violation of the examination regulations. Please take exams honestly with absolutely no cheating. Wish you all the best on your exams!
