Midterm Examinations Next Week! Please Wear A Face Mask!

Time flies! Half a semester has nearly passed and 1st-year students are going to face their first university midterm examinations next week: Nov. 9 to 13, 2020. The traditional MCU plum-blossom examination seating arrangement will be implemented; in line with the new life of epidemic containment, everyone is required to please wear a face mask for all the examinations.

Reminder to all 1st-year students, each student’s midterm examination schedule has been posted under Exam Schedule and Location Query on the Student Information System. Please check online and print it out or add to your calendar so that you do not go to the wrong venue and affect your personal rights for the examinations. The Exam Schedule and Location for time-conflict and cross-campus will be announced under Exam Schedule and Location Query on the Student Information System four days prior to the examinations as well. Please prepare well and do your best for the examinations.

Student Affairs Division would like to remind students that students are not allowed to apply for personal leave during the midterm examination period. Students who need to apply for sick leave with a certificate of diagnosis for the date of missing an examination, or other types of leaves, must submit related documents for a special case leave on an examination day and complete the leave procedure within two days of missing an exam (including the examination day) online. Please submit all the related documents to Student Advising Section before November 16, 2020. Furthermore, if students are unable to attend the examinations due to home quarantine, please complete the leave procedure within 7 days after the end of home quarantine with faculty member’s approval for taking leave from a midterm exam. Those who have participated in the examinations are not allow to apply for leaves.

Furthermore, please turn off your cell phone before taking examinations, as any ringing sound (including vibration mode and alarm) will be considered as a violation of the examination regulations. Please take exams honestly with absolutely no cheating.
