Ming Chuan University classes formally began on March 2nd for the new semester. With its multiple campuses and internationalized learning environment, the university takes disease prevention seriously. To lower the risk of cluster infection, from the first day of classes, all people must have their temperature taken before entering any MCU campus and every classroom needs to have doors and windows open for ventilation during class periods. All classrooms, restaurants, elevators, and restrooms are being sanitized daily, and each unit and department has prepared alcohol sanitizer. For students who are affected by disease and cannot return to campus at this time, the Academic Affairs Division has provided “Flexible Lecturing Program” for students’ online learning. All department chairs, full- and part-time faculty members have participated in “Online Synchronous Teaching and Screen Recording Workshop”, so that faculty members can combine Moodle, Teams, and WeChat to operate distance learning, allowing students to keep on with their learning without worry.
