In line with preventing the invasion of 2019-nCoV and the containment policy set by the government to lower the risk of group infection, Ming Chuan University has established an Epidemic Prevention Emergency Response Team to protect all faculty and staff members and students. In accordance with the policies of the Central Epidemic Command Center and the resolution of “Response to Serious 2019-nCoV Contagion – Higher Education Institution Management Planning Meeting” held by the Ministry of Education on February 3, and a Provisional Expanded Administrative Council Meeting held by Ming Chuan University on February 5, 2020, the starting date of 2019-20 2nd Semester was postponed to February 26, 2020; flexible courses will be implemented prior to official classes beginning on March 2, 2020. Relevant teaching activities will be rescheduled and reported to the Ministry of Education for reference.
The rescheduled activities are as follows: Online add and drop period for courses is postponed to March 2 to 11, 2020; students are scheduled for online course selection based on their year of study. The 63rd Ming Chuan University Anniversary is postponed to May 23, 2020; the Creative Cheerleading Dance Competition and Track and Field Championships are cancelled for this year. Mid-term examinations are rescheduled for April 20 to 24, 2020; final examinations are rescheduled for June 22 to 30, 2020.
