Welcome new students to the MCU Family! The 1st semester of 2019-20 AY begins on September 9, 2019. Most importantly, students need to process Course Selection, which will be available online from 12:30 pm on September 9, 2019 (Mon.). Students are scheduled for online course selection based on their year of study. The results of Cloud Course Selection Agent System will be announced at 10:00 am on the day of course selection for each year of study. Students who would like to choose courses from other departments, online courses (Accounting and Economics) or retake courses, please grab this chance to add or drop courses through the Student Information System.

The Academic Affairs Division reminds students to check their class schedule online before the deadline. Based on principles of fairness, during the adding and dropping course stage, if a student selects a course that is full, they will be put on a waiting list that is managed by a computerized quota assurance system. After the deadline of adding and dropping courses, no students will be added from the waiting list. Students who are unable to log in to Online Add and Drop Course System due to late payment may complete the registration process with their receipts at the Registrar Section on Taipei Campus / Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section in order to log into the System.

Students may check the course selection results online after 12:30 pm on September 20, 2019 and those courses which will not be opened will be announced on September 30, 2019. Students who need to reselect courses due to selected courses no longer being offered or special cases approved to reselect courses due to exceptional circumstances, should apply for corrections during October 3-4, 2019 at Curriculum Section or Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section. No alterations are accepted after the deadline. Students who do not log in to confirm the selected courses during September 30 to October 9 will be regarded as accepting the selected courses.

Generally, students are limited to 25 credits per semester. The minimum course load for freshmen, sophomores and juniors is 12 credits, for seniors 9 credits, and at least 1 course for graduate students. Students who attained an academic grade average 80 points for the previous semester may select an additional one to two courses with the approval from the Department Chair, and should apply for adding courses during Add and Drop Course period at Curriculum Section or Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section. Students who take English or Japanese courses must pay Language Lab Fee. Students who take teacher education-related courses must pay Teacher Ed Program Fee. Those who need to make up a payment, please print out the payment statement during October 28 to November 4 and complete the payment procedure at Taipei Fubon Bank or ChungHwa Post Office.
