【933Enews】IC JMC students win 1st place in Chinese Singing Competition for Foreigners

Students of Journalism and Mass Communication Program, International College, Donya Lynex Francis and Rolhensha T’Keyah Yolaine Henry from St. Kitts and Nevis won1st place in the Chinese Singing Competition for Foreigners held by Radio Taiwan International on November 1st. They won with their performance of a classic Chinese folk song “A-mei, A-mei.” They both noted that they had fun in the contest and it was quite a unique experience singing Chinese in front of the crowd. Ambassador Jasmine E. Huggins attended the event to cheer for her country’s representatives, who were among the 25 contestants from 16 countries accepting the challenge of singing Taiwanese folk songs for the prize.
