by Sandra Chen Based on a resolution of the Library Committee, book loan policy and overdue reminders are adjusted as follows: 1. Loan extension can be applied for twice instead of once. 2. Email reminders for overdue books will be sent 5 days and 3 days prior to the due date, respectively, instead of the current 3 days and 1 day notice. Mobile phone text reminder will be sent 1 day prior to the due date instead of being sent on the due date. 3. The reminder of the due date for extended loan period will be sent 3 days prior to the due date instead of 1 day ahead. Moreover, after carrying out a trial period on the 24hr reading room on the Taipei library 5th floor during the 1st semester, the frequency of use is low during the night. So, the hours of the reading room are adjusted to 8:00AM to 12:00AM this semester, and it is closed overnight.
