by Benson Lin Coming up are two extracurricular activities for international students at Ming Chuan University. Students who enjoy Chinese Calligraphy and students who love outdoor activities are guaranteed to be satisfied. For students who fancy calligraphy, don’t miss the 2014 MCU International Student Calligraphy Contest, held by International College. Registration is open now through November 10th at either IC office, or download the registration form from the website (http://ic.mcu.edu.tw). Students need to bring student ID, passport, ARC, and NT$100 deposit for registration. The deposit will be returned to those who participate on contest day. Paper, ink, and brushes will be provided. Visit the IC office or check out the official website for further information. If you are an outdoors person, the Office for International Student Service is holding a trip to Yingge on November 15th. Since Yingge is a tourist attraction known for its ceramics artworks, participants will visit the Yingge Ceramics Museum, experience the Old Ceramics Street, and even make their own ceramic piece! For registration, please visit either OISS Office in person between October 27 and November 10. Remember to bring your passport, ARC, and NT$500 deposit for registration. First come, first served!
