For the first time ever, MCU now allows the students of each academic department, graduate school and focused course program to apply to doctoral degree programs through referred admission. The application filing period is November 3~24 in the 2014-15 academic year. The departments of Business Administration and Applied Chinese are the only two departments at MCU that accept these applications at this time. Ming Chuan strongly encourages outstanding MCU alumni or soon-to-graduate students to stay at the university for their doctoral studies in order to achieve academic consistency, shorten the years required for graduation and plan ahead for future specialized and academic research positions.
