【880Enews】Thailand Culture Exchange Camp

Dr. Lynne Lee, Associate Dean of International College, accompanied a group of 16 students to the 2014 Thailand Culture Exchange Camp organized by faculty of Management Science, Silpakorn University, this past winter break From January 20 to 24, students from Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand participated in this activity for new experiences and learning in English. Additionally, participants enjoyed visits to historical places such as the fourth king’s palace (Praya Nakorn cave), Chang Hua Man Royal Initiative Project (Petchburi Province), Ruan Nakara Resort and Kaeng Krachan Damn. Anna and Khadijatou, Gambian students of MCU International College said they appreciated the opportunity to participate this activity. They broadened their global view and learned more about Thailand’s folk culture and customs. Reflections from local students and international student participants will be published in the 89th edition of Ming Chuan Magazine, which should come out on March 22. Moreover, the Division of International Education and Exchange (IEE) will continue promoting related academic exchange activities; interested students can view these on the IEE website.
