by Florrie Lin A concert in commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of Ming Chuan University Founder Pao’s passing is going to be held at 10:00 am on January 13 (Monday) at Sun Yat Sen Auditorium on Taipei Campus. All faculty members are welcome to join us as we reflect on all that Dr. Pao has meant to MCU. This concert opens with an orchestra performance, followed by choral performances by Yang-Chun Mian Chorus and Yungho Chin Hsi Chorus, a reed pipe solo performed by the leader of TFG&CKSH Alumni Chinese Orchestra, Aboriginal Sounds Chorus of Tong-Fu Junior High School, Taipei FuDe Charity and Performance by Super Star American School of Chungshan Neighborhood. In addition, Distinguished Alumni Awards will be presented to Hui-Chin Tsai, General Manager of HIWIN Technologies Corp., Li-Li Chang, Chair, Board of Directors of Treasure Dragon Corp., Li-Yan Huang, CEO of Leo Burnett Group. In honor of this occasion, Master Ju Chang, Dean of Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center, is donating 20 volumes of the Encyclopedia of Buddhist Arts to Ming Chuan University. All faculty members are welcome to become sponsors for the activities to commemorate the ‘mother’ of the Ming Chuan family and further develop her spirit and selfless devotion to education.
