by Cherry Huang In order to help international students be familiar in MCU, assist local and international students to understand each other and expand multicultural awareness, International Education and Exchange Division (IEE) created “Buddy Bon”. Buddy Bon matches one or two international students to one local student. International students may feel lonely studying far away from home at MCU; this program facilitates forming meaningful relationships. Locals and internationals have gained many valuable experiences over these years, so IEE has a special publication: “Buddy Bon will help you”. This book details interesting exchange experiences between international and local students. International students can learn Chinese and local students can always practice second languages. Although sometimes they have to use body language, it’s still a precious experience. This also shows how MCU deepens campus diversity.
