The joint program offered by MCUMI and SVSU has cultivated the first cohort of graduates with dual Master of Arts degrees in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. With their master’s degrees from Taiwan and the U.S., these graduates are 100% employed, an outstanding performance in the U.S. job market.
The first four graduates of MCUMI are all employed in the U.S. Li-Fang Qiu is the head of academic affairs and teacher of Adult Classes. Yi-An Huang teaches Chinese in the elementary division in Colorado. Jie-Ying Shi teaches in the Mandarin Language located in California. I-Hsuan Lai teaches Chinese in the junior high division in Minnesota.
