MCU Celebrates 69th Anniversary with Cheerleading Festival at Taipei Campus

Ming Chuan University celebrated its 69th anniversary with a lively and colorful festival at its Taipei campus on March 21, attracting a large number of students and creating an energetic, festive atmosphere.

The celebration began with a variety of food and beverage booths set up across the campus, drawing students in even before the official ceremony started. Popular treats such as fresh watermelon juice, crispy fried sweet potatoes, hot dogs, and grilled ribs were enjoyed by attendees, turning the campus into a vibrant street food fair. The delicious food and cheerful conversations created a warm and exciting environment.

Following this vibrant opening, the formal ceremony commenced with the appearance of the university president, who delivered an opening speech and officially inaugurated the celebration. The event was also attended by professors and representatives from different faculties, adding a sense of prestige and importance to the occasion.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the event was the cheerleading competition among various faculties. Each department demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and creativity, investing significant effort into their performances. The competition was intense, with the winning team receiving a grand prize of NTD 30,000.

Students from the International College (IC) stood out for their exceptional energy and dedication. Their performance reflected strong teamwork and passion, capturing the audience’s attention and showcasing their pride in representing their faculty.

In addition to the competition, traditional performances such as a lion dance and drumming performance brought a cultural touch to the celebration, further energizing the crowd and enhancing the festive spirit.

The event attracted a large number of students and was filled with excitement, laughter, and school pride. As an annual tradition, the Ming Chuan University anniversary celebration continues to be a meaningful and highly anticipated occasion, bringing the university community together in a joyful and memorable way.
