By Lisa Nguyen
The final session of the Internship Opportunities Seminar series, organized by the Career Center at Ming Chuan University, featured YONSHIN FENGCHA and Mister Donut. As the concluding event of the series, the workshop brought together students and industry representatives for an engaging and insightful exchange focused on career exploration within the food and beverage sector.
YONSHIN FENGCHA introduced itself as a Taiwanese tea salon that offers a therapeutic and calming experience from the moment customers take their seats. The representatives described the brand’s concept of combining traditional Taiwanese tea culture with creative contemporary cuisine.
The speakers emphasized that YONSHIN FENGCHA is designed as a versatile space suitable for an afternoon break, a girls’ tea gathering, or a light evening meal. During the Q&A session, students expressed strong interest in how the brand creates emotional connections through its atmosphere and menu design, as well as what it is like to work in a tea salon that values both service quality and customer comfort.
Mister Donut then shared the story of its global journey. Originally founded in the United States, Mister Donut has evolved into an international doughnut chain that now primarily operates across Asia. Its product range includes doughnuts, coffee, muffins, and various pastries. Representatives also explained the brand’s transformation following its acquisition. Today, Mister Donut’s key markets include Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and El Salvador.
Throughout the session, Mister Donut representatives discussed how the brand maintains consistency while adapting to local tastes in different countries. The interactive Q&A segment allowed students to ask questions about training systems, daily store operations, and opportunities for personal growth within an international brand.
Both YONSHIN FENGCHA and Mister Donut concluded the workshop by announcing that they are currently recruiting part-time staff. The session not only deepened students’ understanding of the food and beverage industry but also provided direct pathways to employment, making it a meaningful and engaging experience for all participants.
