【760】Master of Communications Management Program in Malaysia

Translated by Teng-Seng Lu The Ministry of Education has approved Ming Chuan’s establishment of a Master of Communications Management Program in Malaysia for the academic year of 2010. The program provides for enrollment of 30 Malaysian students with work experience. According to the International Education and Exchange Division, the majority of foreign students who have studied at Ming Chuan University are Malaysians. Thus, the country is the first priority for Ming Chuan to establish such a program. The courses will be conducted at MCU’s sister school, the Hanxing Academy of Journalism and Communication in Malaysia. The Dean of the School of Communication Dr. Chen Yaw-Chu, together with Hanxing Academy, will hold a press conference in May in order to promote the overseas master’s program. The Review Committee of the Ministry of Education stated that the Master of Communications Management Program is a unique feature of MCU and it distinctly displays the institution’s development features. The communications management field is a broad one, and mastery in this field has become a global trend. The committee also commented that the course planning was detailed and the numbers of professors were sufficient for the program.
