【760】Student Government Association Competitions Underway

Translated by Teng Seng Lu The preliminary round of the 5th Mr. and Ms. International competition was held last week on both campuses and there were 8 and 17 contestants participating in the competition on Taipei and Taiyuan campuses, respectively. Among them 5 contestants on Taipei campus, and 10 contestants on Taoyuan campus, successfully qualified for the final round which will be held on 5/19 at 6:00 pm in the first floor of Taoyuan Gymnasium. In order to promote the value of politeness and the importance of smiling, the MCU Student Government Association of both campuses is holding a series of SMILE competitions. All students are welcome to join; don’t miss the chance to grab the prize money! PHOTOGRAPHY – Submit a 4 X 6 inch photograph which you think can represent the theme of smiling. The electronic file of the work must be attached together with the printed copy. LOGO design – Create a logo with a smile theme. The works must be created in A4 size using computer graphics or hand drawing. Any electronic file must be attached when submitting the work. SHORT ESSAY – Craft a warming and caring short essay in not more than 70 words. The word “smiling” must be included in your work and the essay must be written on the registration form. The deadline for submissions in all three categories is this Friday (4/23) before 5:00 pm. Each student is only allowed to participate in one category. Entries should be submitted to the Student Government Association Offices on either campus. The registration form can be downloaded via MCU’s web HD or the official website http://mcusga.com/MCUPC/blog. The first place work of each category will receive prize money of NTD 3000.
