On the evening of October 8th, 2021, International College (IC) of Ming Chuan University (MCU) held an event which will stay in the memory of every freshman who took part in it – 2021 Freshmen Welcome Party. As its name indicates, it was an event for “newbies” at MCU.
The 2021 Freshmen Welcome Party started around 7:00 p.m. Everyone who walked into the Sun Yat Sen Auditorium felt the excitement in the air. Students were laughing, organizers were finishing with the last preparations and music was playing in the background. Everyone was ready to start. The event began with the introduction of freshmen and MCU. Attendees were divided into 6 groups, which competed against each other in various games, including booty ball, water pong, quiz about MCU and tag. Besides these activities, they also had an opportunity to see two rap performances. Moreover, while delicious Subway sandwiches, sweets and juice were served, freshmen were introduced to their MCU Buddies, who will help them during their studies. As the party was coming to its end, it was time to announce the winners. Among all of the groups, Team 6 scored the most points and won the main prize – a box full of snacks! Congratulations!
We hope that all freshmen enjoyed their welcome party. On behalf of all the MCU faculty, staff and students, we would like to wish them best of luck in their future studies and a lot of unforgettable memories. Welcome to the MCU family!
