The TaiwanICDF and MCU cooperated for the fifth time to put on the International Cooperation and Development Fund Student Paper Competition. At this year’s event held on May 13th, 13 teams were awarded prizes and 2 of them were comprised of MCU students. First, Cindy Jones and Robin Schaffer won the first prize in Bachelor’s group Education and Others category, advised by Dr. Sophie Chang, Director of Journalism and Mass Communication Program. Another winning team was Nataly Sanchez, Nadia Contesti and Ketricia Finch, who won the outstanding award in Bachelor’s group Education and Others category, advised by Dr. David Trot, Assistant Professor of International Business and Trade Program. The opening ceremony of the conference was co-hosted by Dr. Pai-Po Lee, Deputy Secretary General of the TaiwanICDF, and Dr. Chuan Lee, President of MCU. Both of them welcomed all guests and stressed the competition’s great potential to raise Taiwan’s international development and foster cross-border projects.
