Student Service-Learning Workshop The Career Planning and Counseling Division will be hosting a student Service-Learning workshop featuring Mr. Chi-Kang Ma, a famous travel writer, as the guest speaker on 5/4 from noon to 2 p.m. in E202 on Taipei campus. In addition, the end of the year student Service-Learning showcase will be held on 5/25 at noon (in B401 on Taipei campus and in P102 on Taoyuan campus). Summer Session Registration This Week The class registration for Summer Session I begins on Tuesday (5/1) at 9 a.m. and ends on 5/3. Students who wish to be enrolled in summer session classes must register online within these two days. Please to go http:www1.mcu.edu.tw, log in with your student identification number and password, and click on “Summer Session I Registration” under the Student Information Network System. Mother’s Day Greetings Card Mother’s Day is coming soon, and it is the time of the year to show our appreciation and love to our mothers. The Bliss and Wisdom Youth Club on Taipei campus is setting up a booth in front of the Hi-Life Convenient Store Plaza and will provide free Mother’s Day cards for faculty, staff and students. Just stop by the booth between 4/30 to 5/3 starting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to write your words of love on the card; the club will mail the card for you to your mom. Refreshments and lunch boxes will be provided to early birds. In addition, there will be a prize draw! Don’t miss out! Filial Week on Taoyuan Campus The Filial Week will take place from 4/30 to 5/11 on Taoyuan campus. A series of activities will be held to celebrate Mother’s Day. There will be free Mother’s Day cards provided to everyone to send greetings, and free carnations will be distributed. Mother’s Day loveline will be held on 5/10 and 5/11 on Taipei campus and on 5/9 and 5/10 on Taoyuan campus, through which students may make free phone calls to their mothers. In addition, a photography contest will be held based on the theme of filial respect and affection. Please submit your work by 5/8. The work will be displayed on 5/9 and 5/10, everyone may vote for their favorite photo using sales invoices. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners and all invoices collected will be donated to Genesis Social Welfare Foundation.
