This semester, 80 international exchange students from our sister schools all over the world have travelled to Taiwan for exchange study at MCU. They are now currently enrolled in different schools of MCU: International College, School of Management, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language Department, and Department of Applied English. Most of the exchange students come from Korea (45 students), others come from European countries such as France (8 students), Germany (4 students), Russia (4 students), Poland, and Netherlands. Others come from the U.S. (3 students) and Mongolia (12 students). With this big number of international exchange students, the International Education and Exchange Division welcomes local Taiwanese students who are interested in becoming a ‘study buddy’ to volunteer and help them get familiarized with college life here in Taiwan. A recruitment orientation will be held in April. Helping foreign students to learn about Ming Chuan and to experience Taiwanese culture is the mission of the ‘study buddy’ activity. International Education and Exchange Division held a welcome party for new foreign students on Taipei and Taoyuan campuses, respectively, on 2/7 and 2/8. Students were introduced to campus, gathered for a meal, and enjoyed a half-day trip to the National Palace Museum and Taoyuan DaXi.
