作者： PARE Joagni 【A Vital Educational Principle at MCU】 Prior to my decision to enroll in Ming Chuan University, I took some time to visit its website to gather more information about its uniqueness and the range of advantages it offers to its students. While visiting Ming Chuan University’s website, my whole attention suddenly converged upon four arresting words, which read: “Honesty, Sincerity, Humility, Determination”. Those words represent in fact the four key educational principles of the school in question. They all play a very important role in determining people’s success and the way they interact with one another in society. But one of those words struck me the most, and I came to deem it the most significant of all because it says so much about things that we all experience in life. That word is “Humility”. While sitting in front of the computer, eying this word and eager to know why MCU included “humility” in its core values, my mind turned straight to Saint Augustine’s words, which my philosophy teacher used to repeat to us in high school: “It was pride that changed angels into devils, and it is humility that makes men as angels”.
