By Teng Seng Lu MCU’s School of Law has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the School of Law at Regent University in the United States of America. On May 20th, Dr. Jeffrey Brauch, Dean of the school, and Professor Dr. Scott Pryor were invited to MCU to deliver a seminar and sign the memorandum. The themes of the seminar included the overview of the legal education and bar examination in the United States and how to prepare for applying to US law schools. The seminar was a success and was packed with students. They responded that Dr. Jeffrey Brauch’s speech helped them understand more about U.S. legal education and the job market. After the seminar, students witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by the representatives of Regent and Ming Chuan. There will be more cooperation between the two schools in the future. This semester, MCU’s School of Law has actively carried out many exchange activities with different legal entities, including China Law Society, law societies of JiangSu, FuJian, HeBei, AnHui, JiLin and ShanDong provinces, and JiangSu Province Judges Association. Over 200 representatives have comprised these delegations visiting MCU.
