by Curry Lin To promote students’ environmental practices and awareness, every semester Ming Chuan holds a cleaning competition. Through the competition, students can practice teamwork and make the campus tidier as well. This semester, the cleaning competition will be held on May 7 from 12:00 to 14:00. Students can start cleaning their own area before the competition and complete it during the competition period. However, students must finish cleaning before 14:00 on May 7. Cleaning areas include not only classrooms but also stairways and gardens. For Taipei campus students, the distribution area will be decided by drawing lots. Health coordinators need to go to classroom B901 at 12:00 on April 20 (Tuesday) for the drawing. For Taoyuan campus students, the General Affairs Section has assigned the areas for each class. Health coordinators should collect cleaning equipment on May 7 between 9:00 to 12:00 from the Operations section. After using the equipment, students should clean it and return it to the empty space near the garbage dumpsters. Health coordinators are responsible to inspire classmates to join the competition. The best three (six for Taoyuan) class sections of each year-level will be awarded. These awards include both cash and conduct grade bonuses. Students who do not do well or are absent from the competition will be reprimanded.
