by Florrie Lin

For epidemic containment, Overseas Chinese Students must undergo quarantine upon arrival in Taiwan. However, many Overseas Chinese Students are so attracted by the results of MCU’s excellent teaching and international education, they are willing to do so. The freshmen of the 40th Overseas Chinese Class began arriving in Taiwan from March 19, 2021 and will begin classes on April 7. A total of 160 students registered at MCU this year, which is the top number in the nation.

During this period, the International Education and Exchange Division, together with every program for Overseas Chinese Students and the Mandarin Studies and Culture Center, support the affairs of reception and quarantine. General Affairs Division, Student Affairs Division and Taoyuan Campus Administration Division assist in arranging the dormitories for Self-Management of Health and quickly supporting untroubled study for all students. During the epidemic containment period, each Overseas Chinese Class is implementing distance education and active care for students’ lives. After April 23, 90% of these new students will come to MCU campuses for study and the Freshmen Physical Checkup will be conducted April 29, 2021 (Thursday) at 13:30 on Taoyuan Campus and at 15:30 on Taipei Campus.
