Times Higher Education (THE) released the newest 2019 Asia University Rankings on May 2nd, listing a total of 417 universities in 27 countries, among which are 32 Taiwanese universities. MCU has now been included in the rankings for three consecutive years, one of the few private Taiwanese universities to enter the rankings, and the only U.S. accredited university in Asia. MCU is listed at 5th among Taiwanese private universities in the ranking for level of Internationalization.
President Lee states that MCU is one of the few private Taiwanese universities to enter international ranking such as THE, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in recent consecutive years. MCU has especially outstanding performance in Internationalization.
Following the international trend, MCU has initiated its Intelligent Campus Establishment plan which comprises Facial Identity Scanner, Mobile Payment, Big Data, and Intelligent Classrooms. Moreover, the university promotes AI Development and Robot Technology, which represent excellent results in cross-disciplinary collaboration, and help students learn in a smarter way with less pressure.
