【942Enews】MCU’s ICDF African Scholarship Recipients Showing Off Their Dance Moves

Taiwan ICDF held a reunion party for government officials and people who have worked in Africa on February 20 at Caesar Park Taipei. The chair of the reunion party was Mr. Pin-kung Chiang, who served in several positions in South Africa some years ago. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen-jan Lee was also invited. Taiwan ICDF African scholarship recipients at Ming Chuan put on a brilliant dance performance that caught peoples’ attention. The dancers were two students from Gambia: Fatima and Ousainou, and another 4 students from Swaziland: Thandeka, Hlobsile, Temantungwa and Sibonelo. They choreographed the dance by themselves, wore traditional African attire and used Western African music for the striking performance. What’s more, Ousainou played Djembe, which made the performance even more authentic. That made people feel they were in Africa. Their performance won a round of applause.
