May 7th, 2016 marks a meaningful day in Ming Chuan University (MCU) history. In celebration of the achievements of graduate students who will receive degrees in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL), President Lee will lead a delegation of 15 MCU faculty members to the Michigan campus to hold MCU-MI’s (Ming Chuan University – Michigan) first commencement ceremony. As it enters its 60th year, MCU is proud to have more than 140,000 alumni around the world. Spanning four locations in Taiwan, MCU established its fifth location on the other side of the world in Michigan, U.S.A. A unique and historical accomplishment in the history of Taiwan higher education, this has allowed MCU to become ‘a university on which the sun never sets’. After more than seven hundred days of studying to be qualified Chinese teachers, four graduates, I-Hsuan Lai, Jie-Ying Shi, Li-Fang Qiu, and Yi-An Huang, are prepared to take the next step in their life’s journey.
