by Florrie Lin The 26th Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards Ceremony will be held in the afternoon of April 30 on Taipei campus. More than ten international students will be presented awards in the 26th Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards Competition, which breaks a record. (see the roster of awardees). All students are welcome to participate in this historic event. Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards Competition establishes a literary atmosphere on MCU campuses, discovers talents in writing and images at MCU and provides opportunities for them develop their potential. President Lee, who emphasizes and support Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards, will attend the 26th Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards Ceremony to honor the awardees. All judges are invited to be the award presenters and will participate in face-to-face seminars with students. In order to relieve the tension of awaiting award announcements, the School of Communication and the Dance Team of Ming Chuan University will present a dance and singing performance at the beginning of the ceremony. Abby Lu, a singer with a super voice who debuted publicly on the “I want to be a singer” program, will perform with Mum Band. MCU literature and arts are ever renewing. Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards offers multiple creative awards to inspire students’ potential and broaden their views through poetry in Classical Chinese and Modern Chinese, Chinese Prose and English Prose, photography to short film. Ming Chuan Literary and Arts Awards is a dream of Founder Pao’s: Let us light the MCU campus with literature and arts, and welcome the new generation of young artists.
