by Lisa Lin In celebration of Christmas, the 2014 ICDF Christmas Dinner took place on December 19th at Chientan Youth Activity Center. The ICDF Christmas Dinner was held early this year as a way to bring a little bit of Christmas cheer into the hearts of the ICDF students, and provide a sense of comfort with turkey, and myriad culinary delicacies. The night began with opening remarks from Dr. Wu, Dr. Chang, and Dr. Tu who welcomed the students and thanked them for coming. While the students eagerly queued up at the buffet, two videos were shared, depicting the proud history of Ming Chuan, as well as the Lunar New Year’s story of “Nian”. Five Latin American students kicked off the night with light salsa dancing before two Caribbean students led the group in song. Many kind words were shared during the gift exchange, and the night ended on a note of elation as everyone joined their voices in a delightful rendition of “Silent Night”. The ICDF dinner is an annual event arranged through the joint efforts of the ICDF Scholarship staff and staff members of Ming Chuan University.
