In recent years, the impacts of gradual climate and environmental change on traditional agriculture techniques have been significant and are causing dramatic fluctuation in global food supply. On top of that, overuse of chemical fertilizers and water pollution cause concern over agricultural product safety. Thus, the idea of plant factories is being proposed and circulated among many countries. In order to promote academic achievement through industrial development relating to this new field of study, the MCU Biotechnology Department has established a Plant Factory and related facilities, which are located on the 4th floor of the Technology Building.
