In an effort to ensure an appropriate environment for learning, Ming Chuan University has partnered with its student body to institute a set of classroom rules which we hope will create a more harmonious atmosphere. Meanwhile, it is always good to have a reminder of how you should conduct yourself in the classroom. 1. Don’t litter. The school has provided garbage receptacles to allow for the proper disposal of garbage. 2. Don’t speak loudly in class. Doing so will distract your classmates. 3. Don’t answer cellular phones in class. It is more respectful if you exit the room and take the call outside. 4. Don’t deface the desks by drawing or writing on them. 5. Don’t engage in playing cards or any other games with your friends during lecture time. 6. Don’t be late for class. 7. Don’t sleep in class. 8. Don’t exit or enter the classroom too frequently. 9. Don’t kick the chair of the person sitting in front of you. 10. Don’t be absent from class. Remember that unexcused absences significantly reduce your conduct grade. Appropriate behavior fosters a positive classroom environment. These are the rules highlighted by students and they will help us to achieve our goals. Remember to treat others as you would like to be treated.
